Sterling Silver 1960’s Bus Lapel / Tie Pin
A sterling silver 1960’s Routmaster series London bus pin. It can be used as either a tie pin or a lapel pin. This is a finely detailed miniature replica of the bus that was on the road in London during the 1960’s. One look at it will take you on a journey back in time to all the stops along the route. From Carnaby Street to the Rolling Stones concert In Hyde Park it will bring back the memories of the swinging sixties for those of us who were lucky enough to be there. For those of us who were not the bus will tell a story of glorious times past. The Routemaster bus saw it all. The highs and lows of the 1960’s. The late nights journey home after a party . The daily grind to and from work. The frustrations of the traveller waiting in the queue. Some were known as the Banana routes because they only came in bunches. I only have made two of these bus pins so grab one while you can, it’s quite unique and just like the no 11 bus it it may not reapear for a long time.
The bus measures 12mm length 8mm high and is 4 mm wide and weighs 3gms. It is secured by a sterling silver pin and clasp from the rear which is included in the weight given above.
